Activities surrounding the SDGs take place all across the institution, from inside individual classrooms with instructors and students, to work done within departments, to KPU-wide initiatives such as the KPU 2050 Campus Master Plan.
In 2023, an SDG Mapping Project looked at ways in which KPU supports the SDGs, our areas of strength, and our unique opportunities.
These grants are meant for KPU students to gain research and innovation experiences as part of their polytechnic university experience. In accordance with KPU’s Academic Plan, it will expand ways of learning by integrating learners into faculty-led and student-led research and innovation. It will foster experiential learning experiences which engage students in practical solutions for physical, social, and discovery challenges. Students undertake purposeful research and innovation while helping advance UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Hosted by the Teaching & Learning Commons
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) Community of Practice (CoP) serves as an inclusive and collaborative space where KPU faculty, staff, and students can learn from and engage with each other. Through interdisciplinary dialogue, participants, including our UN SDG Champions, can share ongoing projects, research, and initiatives related to advancing the SDGs at KPU. The CoP fosters candid discussions about challenges, encourages collaboration, and aims to drive positive change within our university community. Let’s inspire each other and contribute to a more sustainable future at KPU!
