Climate Emergency

KPU Library climate initiatives

Kwantlen Seed Library

Established in 2013, the seed library is like a traditional library, except that our users "borrow" seeds to grow and then return to the collection at the end of the season. It is housed at Langley campus library and is open to everyone in the community. Our borrowers learn something about growing their own food, as well as helping to shape a future threatened by climate change and loss of biodiversity.

Visit the Kwantlen Seed Library guide for a list of seeds available to borrow and plenty of books on seed saving and gardening.

Climate + Challenge Book Club

KPU Library partners with Climate + Challenge to host a book club, with titles ranging from speculative fiction to journalism and activist essays. We meet twice yearly online, with suggestions for readings coming from the group. The library ensures that print, digital, and audio editions of the titles are available to readers with different preferences. All are welcome!

Browse the titles below to see what we've been reading.
