The rules regarding inclusion of copyrighted materials are the same whether the course pack is provided online, via email or in print. Different books have different simultaneous user access levels. |
When borrowing a book using a laptop/desktop, you will be able to read it in your browser. Although you can't access the ebook through your file menu, if you leave the browser open, you can continue to read it when offline. When borrowing a book on a device using the Libby app, the book will automatically download to your device and you can access it again via Libby. |
Printing and copying/pasting are not possible in the Libby or OverDrive interfaces. When inside the ebook, clicking on the middle of the screen brings up a menu with options to search within the book or create bookmarks. When inside the book, clicking and holding on a word will allow you to highlight.
