KPU Library and Sustainable KSA are pleased to announce an exciting event for Earth Day 2021.

Join us in conversation with Stuart Gillies and Momme Halbe, the team behind the documentary, Creatures of Convenience. This event, held on Earth Day and co-hosted by KPU Library and Kwantlen Student Association, aims to bring awareness to the impact our culture of convenience has on the environment and to encourage discussion around this important topic. This event is open to the KPU community and the public.

In Conversation: Creatures of Convenience

When: Thursday, April 22, 12pm-1pm PST

Where: Online via Zoom. Register here.

Event description: The event will be an online conversation with the film’s director, Stuart Gillies, and producer Momme Halbe, moderated by KPU’s Dr. Paul Richard. We’ll explore the filmmakers' inspiration to make the film and what they learned during the process. Participants will be encouraged to submit their own questions during the event.

We invite you to view the film--available for free on CBC Gem--prior to the event.
