American Anthropological Association

Uses the Chicago Manual of Style (17th ed.) Z 253 U69 2017, available at Cloverdale, Langley, Richmond and Surrey, and Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary (11th ed.)  PE 1628 W4 M4 2003,  available at Langley, Richmond and Surrey. In Webster's, use the first spelling and American rather than British spellings.

September 9, 2015 -  AAA has decided to cease production of the AAA Style Guide. AAA style now adheres fully to the current edition of the Chicago Manual of Style (Author-Date).


 

Society for American Archaeology

 

The authority for spelling is Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. For any words not found in this dictionary, use Webster's Third New International Dictionary (unabridged). Use American English spellings. Choose the first spelling when multiple spellings are available.
