Covid Troubleshooting: How to print

While physical distancing is in effect, staff will troubleshoot issues over the phone or while behind the acrylic screen at the Service Counter.

1 Requirements for Printing, Photocopying & Scanning

Do you have a KPU card?

Are you a student/employee?

Student/employee - No card issued

  1. Student/employee  will need to submit a photo online for card issuance.  Once they pick up their card, they can load Money on their KPU Card Online.

Card issued, but doesn't have card with them

  1. Students & employees do not need to have their card with them to print.  They can logon MFD Manually to release print jobs or photocopy.

Do you have $ on your card?

If necessary walk through instructions to Check Balance and load money on KPU card.

 

2 How to Print

After they are logged on, ask them to open the document they wish to print.

Do they want to print B&W or color?

To send the job to Print:

  1. Printing default is black & white. If you wish to print color,  select the color printer for your campus as below.
  2. Click Print.

 

Release your Print Job.

  1. They will need to move to one of the printers and either tap their card or logon MFD manually.
  2. Select Print Release

 

 

Logon MFD Manually

To logon to an MFD:

  1. If the LCD control panel/screen is dark, press the ENERGY SAVER button to turn on the MFD.
  2. When prompted, enter your Username and Password and press Login.

For Students:
username = student number
password = same password used to register for classes online

For Employees:
username = your assigned short name (the same that you use to log in to your office computers)
password = same password used to log in to office computers.
