  • For proceedings published in a book, use the same format as for a book or book chapter in print (APA Manual 7.04.39)
  • In text citation examples (for more information, see the In-text Citations tab):
    • .....(Singh, 2011)
  • when quoting directly, also include page numbers, e.g.

    • "..." (Singh, 2011, p. 180)
  • Note: the Kwame Nkrumah International Conference was held at Richmond campus in August 2010 and the proceedings published the following year

  • Include information on the type of meeting, the organization name and the location (APA Manual 7.04.36)
  • for a poster session, replace the words Paper presented with Poster session presented (APA Manual 7.04)
  • for an abstract retrieved online, include the word Abstract in your retrieval statement

    • .....(Liu, 2005)
  • when quoting directly, also include a page number or other locator, e.g.
