Embedding library resources into your online course & Moodle site

Welcome

This guide was developed to help you in providing course materials to your students through your Moodle site.

We can help you get started by finding, linking to, or embedding resources that we have already licensed for student use, or that are free to use under an Open license. Examples are:

  • Ebooks
  • Open Educational Resources
  • Scholarly journal articles
  • Journal table of contents with full text access                                 
  • Subject searches in databases
  • Summon search box

Library Subject Guides - library in a Box!

There are two ways to feature the subject guide put together by KPU liaison librarians:

  1. Select the guides that aligns with your area. Copy the URL and place it in your Moodle site - see examples at  https://community.moodle.kpu.ca/course/view.php?id=291&section=0. You do not need to ask us permission to link to a library subject guide!
  2. Embed the guide directly into your Moodle site using LTI technology. Contact Caroline if you wish to do this.
